"Mia" Lives

Mia - twisted purlAfter much work and last minute tweaking by me and Grumperina, the "Mia" shrug pattern (pdf, 395 KB) is available for your knitting pleasure.

Since this pattern is so customizable, I'd like to feature your take on the finished product in a "Mia" gallery. Drop me a line with your photo or URL, plus any particulars, such as yarn choices or edging highlights.

Naturally, I'd like to know if an instruction is unclear or incorrect, so notifications of errata are encouraged as well.

Just download and go!

Congratulations, Karen! All that work, and it's done. Wonderful job on writing this up. I look forward to seeing other knitters starting up this pattern :).

LOVE the shrug! I am looking forward to making it. The unusual stitch pattern is just wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing it. You might want to consider submitting it to the Knitting-Pattern-a-Day calendar people for the 2007 calendar. Submissions are unpaid, as I understand it, but you'd have a lot of knitters looking for your next patterns.

My thanks to Grumperina for sharing the link and the great photos of her version.

Congratulations on such a great pattern!! I will definitely be making this one - I'm thinking as a Christmas gift. My family are all in Georgia where it never gets that cold - so shrugs are great year round. Plus, I was thinking this would look really beautiful and elegant in black with silver beads - great over a little black dress for New Year's Eve!!
