It Was THIS Big

Mom's Sweater - frontTwelve inches. One inch away from the armhole shaping, but I had to rip it back.

You see, I thought I would be "clever" and add some bust shaping detail that was not in the pattern I'm using for my Mom's sweater. The problem is that I decreased too much. "Didn't I see it?" you may ask. Yes, but I was in denial until this morning when I decided that the front of the sweater looked like it would be perfect - for a child.

So I ripped out 7 inches, losing four days of off-and-on knitting. It'll be worth it in the end, despite how cool the hour-glass detail looked. At least she'll be able to wear the darned thing without gasping for air.

Ah well. Onward.

I have that problem too. Sometimes just a little bit of foresight would prevent a whole lotta' froggin. Glad to see though that you quickly knit past it!

I tagged you in my blog since I've been blogstalking you for quite some time.
