Fresh Off The Needles

Mohair scarf and hatWell, I said I was "hooking" up a hat to go with the Brooks Farm mohair scarf, and here it is. Literally hooked, er, crocheted, that is. The truth is I've never knit a hat in my life so it was just easier for me to whip this ear-flap puppy up via crochet.

It's difficult to see in the photo, but the center section of the hat is actually a wave pattern - very similar to the knitted scarf. The little danglies off the ear-flaps are just for fun.

I expect this'll keep me nice and toasty when the real cold weather hits these parts.

Is the yarn as beautiful in real life as it is in the photographs?

Believe me when I tell you that the yarn is even more scrumptious in person, though the photo is a decent representation of it.
