Sometimes, I Knit.
I know there's been a paucity of purely knitting content on this blog of late. Thanks for hanging in there with me. Can't promise too much right now, but I'll do my level best to feed the fiber beasties among you, first with the usually less than exciting WIP shot of the fruit of my fingers and sticks, and then with the yarny fruits of my day job.Above, we have a Feather & Fan shawl being knit up in Dani's "Beach Day" 570 yard mega-skein. Don't know what kind of length I'll achieve. I'll just keep on knitting until the skein runs out. Sometimes I think the simple plan is the best, don't you? Below that is my friend CeCe in buttery yellow Zara. Did I mention just how much I heart this yarn for texture work like this?
Note that I said usually less than exciting. That is because that feline in a funk, Nikita, grabbed the skein of Beach Day from the bed just as I was trying to set up this shot. You wouldn't know that though, because my only thought at that particular Kodak moment was to separate the cat from the yarn without damage to either. Fun, fun, fun chez moi.
Now then. Aside from chasing cats with yarn, my sock yarn collective has grown - either by purchase (Sunshine Yarns "Girls Night Out" and "DragonFly"; Claudia Hand Painted "Stormy Day") or by gift from my One Skein Secret Pal (Blue Moon STR in the "Seal Rock" colorway). Luscious ladies, all!Oh, I almost forgot. Both projects featured today are being knit on Bryspun needles. How does one go about getting rid of teeth marks on the tip of one of the needles (not my teeth, OK)?

Thanks for the comment on our blog! I do appreciate the words of support and getting to hit your blog again!
Yum yummy sock yarn
I've no idea about the teeth mark things. Does it get in the way of the knitting?
The CeCe is looking quite lovely... how's your timetable feeling? Will it be birthday-ready?
And of course, I'm drooling just a wee bit over the new acquisitions. Right up my alley, those greens and purples are! :-)
Nikita had better behave himself, or I will be forced to speak with him sternly in September!
I'm doing CeCe, too, in navy blue. Love it in cream!
