Anybody In There?
There was a time when I wrote almost daily. Words seemed to fill my mind and spill onto the virtual page at will. That was then.
These days, I seem to dissolve into mental debates about what people want to read or what they might find interesting or what I'm willing to reveal -- especially on a knit-focused blog such as this. Which brings me to today's topic (via a bit of self-reflection): write what you know or learn about crafting and the creative process. Some readers may be bored beyond belief as their skills or interests are so vastly divergent from whatever path I'm on at this moment. Others may find something resonant in my continuing search to peel back my layers of the creative, metaphorical onion.
Right now, I'm in production mode. Really trying to stay focused on using the short at-home time (and still limited energy) I have left to pump out simple, unexpected gifts (socks, a ribbed scarf, round one of Dulaan knitting, Red Scarf Project). Nothing too complex that requires explanation of the process or extensive progress photos that make you open your mouths into a wide, collective yawn. I'll share when I'm done with this batch. Promise.
Does this imply that I'll only post "meaningful" stuff here? Not at all. It may be dreck, brief updates, or pure yarn fun at times. Ultimately, I hope that my efforts add to, rather than detract from, the great conversations and unexpected friendships I've begun to forge through knitting. Just know that I'd prefer to be the readable wheat and not the chuckable chaff.

I've been dissolving into liquid puddles of mental debates similar to yours. I'm glad to see you have posted though.
Sometimes I read your blog because I need some inspiration, other times it's to motivate me and if I come across bits of learning, that's a plus. I always find what I seek or I would have stop to come visit.
