Sad but true: not all my purchases involve knitting. This is a brief chronicle of one such purchase, though one could (rightly) argue that it is a cotton knit fabric. I’m talking about the ubiquitous tee shirt.
My drawers are riddled with tees – some of which are only pressed into duty as sleepwear. There are those, however, that are really too good to suffer the “indoor only” fate. These are my fabulous Threadless tees.
My friends T and PA introduced me to Threadless about 3 months ago when both of them showed up for Sunday brunch wearing cool tees, the likes of which I’d never seen before. At that time, I was told of the fabled “Haiku” shirt but it was out of print.
The good news is that there is a way to get a shirt reissued. If a design garners enough voter support, it will be resurrected. Apparently my vote (along with a few hundred others) tipped the reprint scales in our favor. Not one to miss out again, I put in my order the minute I received email notification of the shirt’s reissue.
Today, the postal guy delivered and I now have my very own “Haiku”.

I love that shirt! I must own one, I wonder if it is still available.
LOL. Literally. It doesn’t happen often (it woke up the cat)! And I’m going to laugh again every time I see or think ‘refrigerator’… I’m not entirely sure that’s a good thing, but laughter is supposed to be good for us.
Different strokes, for different folks….and so on and so on and scooby dooby do….ooooo sha sha…
PS – you’re welcome for the ear worm 🙂
How fun! I love silly t-shirts. My sister just gave me a bunch of shirts that she is too big for now, some of which are sesame street and one with dancing monkeys! Too much fun 🙂
So when is the next Threadless get together? Now that you have the threads, I’m game!

Hooray, you got it!!! I was thrilled to get the notification as well, but alas, Orlando and Italy are sucking the budget dry these days. Perhaps next time I’m in town, I can just covet yours…
That’s hilarious. I think I want one!
I’m glad you had a good time at Looptopia, by the way, and am bummed that I missed out. I had had people over for dinner that night, though, and was just too exhausted to even think about heading out at 10 pm! Thanks for the e-mail letting me know when it was, though. Maybe next year!
LOL Are we twins separated at birth or something?? I just ordered this from Threadless: http://www.threadless.com/product/822/Georgia
