After months of staying away from a professional pair of scissors, I finally decided to take the plunge. Why did I wait so long? The Heidi braids was the only hairstyle I could manage to do by myself for one. And two, since my cervical spine is now fused, I can’t bend my head back well enough to sit in a a shampoo bowl.
Through the magic of the Comfort Cape, I was finally able to overcome the chief physical limitation that kept me out of the salon, and not a moment too soon. You see, the pinned up pigtails were getting old and, frankly, the constant brushing and elastics were breaking my hair something fierce. Was it worth it? You betcha!
Ten inches or so on the cutting room floor and I couldn’t feel better!

It looks wonderful! I bet you feel much better too. I hope this is easier for you to deal with…. having trouble fixing your hair sucks, I hear you there.
Go, you!! Like PA, I hadn’t realized it had gotten that long… guess the Heidi look was masking that. (Well, and it HAS been four months since I’ve seen you…)

I love your new cut! It looks perfect for summer.
It is such a lovely cut. I love changing my hairstyle and do it frequently. The hard part is letting it grow back in so the stylist has something to work with.

Cute! I like it!
Gorgeous new look! Enjoy, Karen.
I didn’t realize how long your hair had gotten. The new ‘do looks beautiful!

The new ‘do is totally adorable! It’s a great change.
Lovely! I know how hard it can be to do that, but it’s so worth it. I like the red glints, and you get to feel the breeze on the back of your neck.
Hey, I used one of those gizmos in nursing school — like about 1989. Very handy.
Nice cut. Very simple and a good shape for you. Hope changing your hair maintenance habits isn’t too hard.
Super cute! I love the way the ends turn. Your hair looks so healthy and shiny!
Wow, that was a lot of hair to have cut off. Your new haircut looks fabulous. I’m sure you were happy to have it cut and have those braids taken out.
I love the new hair — very becoming and very youthful!!
Great cut! You are very brave and it sure paid off, it looks fantastic 🙂

Don’t you love the weightless feeling with all the inches gone.
Oh wow, it’s simply beautiful! I love how the ends look too. So pretty. I might be doing the chop-off come this Fall…if I am brave enough:) I really love your haircut.
