Come Join Us!

Chicago, 2006: Ellie and her mom, Mary at World Wide KIP
Wherever we go, whatever we do
We're gonna go through it together!
(Stephen Sondheim, "Gypsy")
That's because today is World Wide Knit in Public Day (WWKIP) and knitters everywhere will be showing their colors, throwing or picking and waving those needles around with abandon. It's happening all over the world, from China and Finland to France and New Zealand. Knitters. Representing!
If you're in the Chicago area, join us in Millennium Park near the Crown "Faces" Fountain in the Boeing Gallery. We'll be there from noon to around 4 o'clock, then it's on to the yarn crawl at Knitwerks and Loopy Yarns.
Personally, I want to see if Ellie is knitting yet :o)

I'm off in about 5 minutes to KIP in the Sculpture Park. Good thing they reserved the pavillion as it's seriously raining. That'll cut into on how public we are and how much public is there to see us.
There was no local event that I knew of (here in NJ) so I made my own by taking my sock to the mall and knitting away while waiting for my haircut. I hope you all had a good time in Chicago!
We had a great time even though we had rain. One gentleman was really getting a kick out of us, but no one else really asked. lol They talked like we couldn't hear them.
I KIP'd! My sock tried to sneak some of my beer. It's that crazy Cider Moon yarn, ya know! LOL
I hope you had fun in Chicago! I am sorry that I missed it (stupid work!). Hopefully next year. :)
i'm so sorry i missed you - again. we'll have to get together at one of these outings soon. :)
I totally forgot about the KIP day! I also had a friend in China who reminded me...and I still forgot.
I hope you all had fun!
In Amsterdam a couple of knitters went to 'het Vondelpark' to knit. I was not able to make it there. Hope you guess had fun.
