…broken by a heavy, wet snow. But the tiger lily bulbs seem determined to push on through. You’ve got to admire their tenacity.

Let’s hear it for signs of spring! My poor daffodils were just about to bloom when they got inundated with snow overnight. I hope they push through OK.
Tiger lilies are fierce!
Lovely photograph.
i love that photo. it just say so much of a person’s epic struggle to remain positive during hard times.
it… is… almost… here!
almost.
i cannot wait until spring really springs, this snow is getting tiresome.
oh, wow! i can not believe you got all that snow!
stay warm…
What a great shot of our bizarre weekend! I’m hoping to get out in the flowerbed this weekend to clear out all the leaves/etc. from the winter – I’m noticing lots of little green things pushing through.
One upside to the wacky weather – I did a ton of knitting over the weekend.
Snow at the end of March is a cruel blow, but spring bulbs are so tough. We tend to think of flowers as so delicate, but the plants underneath can be quite determined.
I’d comment on spring arriving, but it’s almost done here. Actually our winter is more like a spring. By mid-May the native grasses along the road will all be brown.
*sigh*
I know how those lilies feel. I’m looking out the window at heavy blowing snow.
March is certainly going out like a lion in these parts too!
Does it still snow there??! Not to make you jealous, but we have some beautiful weather here. I sat outside in the garden this afternoon for an hour! Spring has definately come to Amsterdam.
Yay tiger lilies! Go! I’ve heard rumors of lilac buds way up here (I’ll believe it when I see it, lol).
What a gorgeous photo! I love how sturdy those shoots are, pushing their way up – determination that there will be warmth there by the sun! Soon!
(((hugs)))
C’mon, Spring. You can do it!
You’ve finished so many lovely projects lately, Karen. I just haven’t had time to comment on them.
